Professor Faulkner brings more than 40 years of martial arts experience to the Dojo. His unique background combines high-level competitive martial arts, law enforcement, and fitness training, offering practical instruction rooted in both tradition and real-world application.

A former Police Detective, Professor Faulkner also served as an Arrest and Control Instructor for the Newark Police Department, where he trained officers in effective defensive tactics and control techniques. His experience provides students with a practical understanding of self-defense, situational awareness, and personal safety.

A lifelong competitor, Professor Faulkner continues to compete in national-level judo tournaments in the Masters Heavyweight division. His recent accomplishments include earning Silver Medal at the 2025 USA Judo Veterans National Championships. Earlier in his career, he captured National Tae Kwon Do Championship titles in 2002 and 2004 in Olympic-style Tae Kwon Do competition.

Known for his patient coaching style and commitment to student development, Professor Faulkner helps practitioners of all ages build confidence, discipline, physical fitness, and technical excellence. Whether working with beginners or experienced competitors, he is dedicated to helping every student reach their full potential.

Outside the dojo, Mr. Faulkner has also appeared as an actor in the feature films Stoners (2015), Uncaged (2016), and Real-ationship: The Feature (2017).
